A new color silkworm variety “Qiufang×Jinyu”, which was selected by Huzhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences

On May 25th, the Office of the Main Crop Variety Approval Committee of Zhejiang Province organized experts from the Provincial Agricultural Technology Promotion Center, Zhejiang University, Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, etc., and the new golden silkworm variety “Qiu Fang” selected by the Municipal Academy of Agricultural Sciences. ×Jinyu” conducted a site inspection of the variety approval.

The new varieties of "Qiufang × Jinyu" began to be selected and selected in 2003. In 2015, they applied for the approval of new varieties in the province. In March 2017, they passed the joint appraisal of provincial laboratories, and participated in rural production appraisal in 2017 and 2018.

The inspection team inspected the breeding of new varieties of Xiangyang Village and Zhujiadou Village in Shuanglin Town, Nanxun District, and listened to the introduction of the three breeding sites of the breeding unit and Nanxun, Tongxiang and Yongkang. Strong and good nutrition, high yield, excellent silk quality, suitable for feeding in the province. After discussion, it was agreed to recommend that the variety be submitted to the Provincial Crop Variety Approval Committee for approval.
