Siu Jun, Sheng Xuerong, Bosideng and other brands of cashmere sweater virtual standard cashmere content

(Reporter Yu Xin) Recently, the Beijing Consumers Association released a comparative test of cashmere sweaters. One-third of the 48 cashmere sweater samples failed to meet the standard. Some of the cashmere shirts were marked with cashmere components, and some did not even detect a cashmere.

This comparative test sample involves 48 cashmere sweaters produced or distributed by 44 companies in 8 provinces and cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang.

, commissioned the Beijing Maomao Silk Fabrics Quality Supervision and Inspection Station, based on GB18401-2010 "National Basic Technical Specifications for Textile Products", GB5296.4-1998 "Consumer Products Instructions for Use Textiles and Garments Instructions" and FZ/T73009-2007 "Cashmere Knitting Product standards tested the samples. The results showed that 16 of the 48 cashmere sweaters were not up to standard, accounting for 33.3%.

Some of the cashmere sweaters are notorious for the names of cashmere components. They are artificially added with other fiber components, shoddy, and some even without cashmere components, posing as cashmere products and suspected of fraud. Famous brands such as Siu Jun, St. Snow Flake, Bosideng, and Rabbit Emperor are marked with “Cashmere 100%”. In fact, they have added wool or regenerated cellulose fibers. There are also 3 cashmere sweater samples that do not contain cashmere at all. They are: “Evelonghuang” cashmere sweater produced by the nominal E-Chuanghuang Cashmere Industry Co., Ltd. in Ordos City. The nominal cashmere content is 100%, which is actually wool, Nylon, lyocell and rabbit fur; nominal cashmere knitted fabrics, “SHUAINU” cashmere sweater, nominal cashmere content of 30% ± 5, wool 70% ± 5, is actually 25% wool and polyester fiber , Acrylic, Nylon; nominally produced by Shanghai Xueyu Knitting Co., Ltd., “Snow” cashmere sweater, nominal cashmere content of 80% ± 5, wool 20% ± 5, the actual wool is only 2%, most of the polyester fiber and Acrylic.
